  • What is repointing?

    Here are the steps of repointing:

    • Remove the old cement mortar
    • Clean 
    • Replace with new mortar

  • Do you restore historic foundations?

    Yes, we restore historic foundations.

  • How do you repoint stone foundations?

    First, we'll inspect the site to see if it collapsed. If it did, we'll shore up the basement foundation. 


    Then, we'll repoint sections at a time to maintain structural integrity. 


    We also do an acid wash after the new mortar is applied to restore the look of the stone and remove excess mortar.
